1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Our Budget ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Our Budget is an expense tracking application designed for shared household and group finances. By using our service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

2. Description of Service

Our Budget provides the following features:

  • Collaborative Groups: Create secure financial groups and invite others using invitation codes. All members can add and view transactions in real-time.
  • Recurring Payments: Set up recurring expenses that are automatically handled by the app with push notifications.
  • Financial Reports: Generate detailed monthly reports with breakdowns of expenses and income by category.
  • Transaction Tracking: Log expenses and income with photos, categories, and account assignments.
  • Cloud Sync: Real-time synchronization across all devices and group members.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use Our Budget, you must:

  • Create an account using a valid email address and secure password
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 13 years of age

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

4. Group Management and Permissions

4.1 Creating and Joining Groups

When you create or join a financial group:

  • You may create groups and invite others using invitation codes
  • Group members can add and view all transactions within the group
  • Group administrators have additional permissions to manage members and settings
  • You can leave a group at any time

4.2 Shared Data

By joining a group, you acknowledge that your transactions and related data will be visible to all group members. You are responsible for ensuring you only share financial information with trusted individuals.

5. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Transmit any worms, viruses, or any code of a destructive nature
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Share invitation codes with unauthorized parties
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account and access to the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Our Budget and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have our written permission.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your information.

By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as set forth in our Privacy Policy, including the sharing of data within your groups as described in these Terms.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be available at all times or free from errors
  • All features will function as expected
  • Data will never be lost or corrupted

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the Service in terms of its correctness, accuracy, reliability, or otherwise.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR BUDGET, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, for accessing the Service during the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Our Budget and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of your use and access of the Service, or a breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or contact us to request account deletion. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Our Budget operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
